WWS guzzlers are designed to
be installed as stand-alone cisterns, with catchment aprons,
or tied into a pipeline from another water source (well).
Aprons (precipitation catchment roofs) increase the surface
area, improving the overall catch of water that can be
collected and deposited in the storage tank. While not
necessary for your wildlife watering facility, aprons
maximize precipitation harvest capabilities.
4 ft. Stand-Alone Drinker
The 4' x 2'
guzzler will store 240 gallons of water. The surface area of
the roof and drinker is 20 square feet and will catch 12

apron is recommended around this size guzzler.
7 ft. Drinker with 8' x 8' Catchment Roof
The 7' x 2' will store 650 gallons of
water. An 8' x 8' ft. catchment roof will add 64 square feet
of area to the 44.5 square feet of the roof and drinker tray
to store 67 gallons from 1 inch of rainfall.
8 ft. Stand-Alone Drinker
The 8' x 2'
guzzler will store 790 gallons of water. The surface area
of the roof and drinker is 56 square feet and will catch 40
gallons of water from an inch of rain. A 12' x 16' apron is
recommended to add an additional 120 gallons per inch of
